Step 1: Marinate & Grill the Chicken

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and a pinch of black pepper until smooth.

  2. Coat the chicken breast thoroughly with the mixture, letting it sit for 10–15 minutes (or longer if time allows). Grill or pan-sear the chicken on medium heat until golden, caramelized, and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Let it rest, then slice into thin strips.

Step 2: Cook the Green Beans

  1. Steam or blanch the green beans for 4–6 minutes until they’re vibrant green and crisp-tender.

  2. Toss the beans with olive oil, salt, and a bit of black pepper. You can also sauté them in a hot skillet for extra flavor and light browning if preferred.

Step 3: Prepare the Rice and Assemble

  1. Cook the jasmine or basmati rice according to package directions. Fluff with a fork and set aside.

  2. In a serving bowl, add a layer of rice, then top with the sliced honey garlic chicken and the green beans.
