For the Pasta & Sauce:

  • 8 oz pasta (fusilli, penne, or fettuccine)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Season & Cook the Protein:

  1. In a bowl, toss shrimp and chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce:

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well.
  3. Add Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens (about 3-4 minutes).
