- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp cold water (for thickening)
For the Noodles:
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley (chopped (for garnish))
Instructions
1️⃣ Sear the Beef:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the beef tips in batches until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer to the crockpot.
2️⃣ Prepare the Base:
- In the same skillet, sauté the onion and carrots until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add the sautéed vegetables to the crockpot.
3️⃣ Assemble the Ingredients:
- Pour beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and tomato paste into the crockpot. Stir well.
- Add dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until the beef is tender.
4️⃣ Thicken the Gravy:
- About 20 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Stir the mixture into the crockpot.
- Let the sauce thicken while you prepare the noodles.

- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with butter.
